About Hordur Johannsson

Hordur Johannsson has worked in robotics since 2004 and is currently a Chief Scientist at Teledyne Gavia where he works on autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) development. He received his Ph.D. from the MIT/WHOI Joint Program in 2013. At MIT he worked with Prof. John Leonard in the Marine Robotics groups. His research focused on simultaneous localization and mapping, in particular problems related to long-term operations.
